Take a walk through time and discover the rich history of our Capital Charlestown. This tour includes stops at the Alexander Hamilton Museum, The public market, The Jew’s Cemetery, The Natural Hot Springs, and Bath Hotel (the first hotel in Nevis) and much more.
In a hillside carved by nature into the shape of a saddle and built around 1740 is the Saddle Hill Battery. This old fortress stands as a lasting example of the stone fortifications that once defended our beautiful island of Nevis. The Saddle Hill Battery with Nelson’s Lookout was once used by British Admiral Horatio Nelson as a viewpoint for enemy ships.
Terrain can be rocky with loose dirt with limited vegetation cover.
Walkers should be prepared for inclement changes in weather.
